Lotus XI

In October 2023, the GP59 Lotus XI touched down at Silverstone for the first time since September 1965, with Josh Stanton behind the wheel. Josh will jump into the seat of the Lotus XI again in 2024 and compete in the historic racing season.

After sitting in a shed from roughly 1967 to 1997, she was restored to her original shape over the early 2000s and even sported a roof briefly during her GT racing days.

Her rich history was proven throughout the 60s at Goodwood, Mallory Park, and Silverstone. She even competed on track against some well-known drivers, including Roy Salvador, Jim Clark, and Graham Hill.

Notably, the Lotus XI has raced the Le Mans Classic several times, in 2017, 2018, and 2021 with 2022 being her most recent stint at the famous French event. Following this, we were delighted to reimport her back to the UK from France in February 2023.

With undeniable history, the Lotus XI still has all of its original scrutineering passes from the 60s and three or four books of documentation and photographs.
